Getting Started with Facebook¶
Facebook Groups modules allow you to monitor, publish or update posts, photos and videos in a selected Facebook Group.

The Ibexa Connect app installed on the Facebook Group
In order to use Facebook Groups with Ibexa Connect, it is necessary to have a Facebook account and the Ibexa Connect app installed on the desired Facebook group. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can create one at Facebook.
Caution
Module dialog fields that are displayed in bold (in the Ibexa Connect scenario, not in this documentation article) are mandatory!
Connecting Facebook Account to Ibexa Connect¶
To connect Facebook Groups to Ibexa Connect you must connect your Facebook account to Ibexa Connect. To do so, follow the general instructions for Connecting to services.
After you click the Continue button, Ibexa Connect will redirect you to the Facebook website where you will be prompted to grant Ibexa Connect access to your account.
Confirm the dialog by clicking the Continue as \<user> button.
Installing the Ibexa Connect app on the Facebook Group¶
Note
Following error message is returned when the Ibexa Connect app is not installed on your group:The operation failed with an error. (#200) Requires either admin with granted managed_group permissions or member using installed app. (200, OAuthException)
To allow access to a specific Facebook Group, you have to install the Ibexa Connect app on your Group manually. Ibexa Connect only has access to the Groups which have the app installed.
Install the Ibexa Connect app by following the steps below.
1. Click on the ...More button and select the Edit Group Settings from the menu.
2. Scroll to the Apps section and click the Add Apps button.
3. Search for Ibexa Connect.
4. Select the Ibexa Connect app and click the Add button.
5. The Ibexa Connect app is now successfully installed on the Facebook Group.

Watch Posts¶
Retrieves the details of a new post that was created in a selected group.

| Limit | Enter the maximum number of posts Ibexa Connect will return during one execution cycle. |
Watch Videos¶
Triggers when a new video is added to a selected group.
| Group | Select the group you want to watch for new videos. |

Watch Comments¶
Triggers when a new comment is added to a specified post.
| Post ID | Select the post you want to watch for new comments. |
| Limit | Enter the maximum number of comments Ibexa Connect will return during one execution cycle. |
Watch Photos¶
Triggers when a new photo is added to an album.
| Group | Select the group where the album you want to watch for new photos is located. |

Actions¶
Create a Post¶
Creates a post in a selected group.
| Group | Select the group where you want to create a new post. |
| Message | Enter the text content of the post. |
| Link | Add the link that will be posted together with the message. |
Upload a Photo¶
Adds a photo to a selected group.
| Group | Select the group where you want to post the photo. |
| Album | Select the album where you want to upload the photo. |
| File name | Enter (map) the name of the file you want to upload. |
| Data | Enter (map) the data of the photo you want to upload. |
| Message | Enter the text message that will be posted together with the photo in one post. |
Upload a Video¶
Uploads a video to a selected group.
| Group | Select the group you want to post a video to. |
| File name | Enter (map) the name of the file you want to upload. |
| Data | Enter (map) the data of the video you want to upload. |
| Title | Enter the title for the video. |
| Description | Enter the video description. |
Get a Post¶
Retrieves the details of a post.
| Post ID | Enter (map) the ID of the post you want to retrieve information about. |
Get Post Reactions¶
Retrieves reactions (LIKE, LOVE, WOW, HAHA, SAD, ANGRY) to a specified post.
| Post ID | Enter (map) the ID of the post you want to retrieve the reactions from. |
| Type | Select the type of reaction you want to monitor the post for. If the field is left empty all types of reactions will be retrieved. |

List Comments¶
Retrieves comments for a specified post.
Post ID |
Enter (map) the ID of the post you want to get comments from. |
Filter |
Stream (all comments) Retrieves all comments (including comments on the comment, etc.) Only top level comments Retrieves top level comments, without its comments. |
Limit |
Enter the maximum number of comments Ibexa Connect will return during one execution cycle. |
List Posts¶
Retrieves posts' details from a selected group.

List Photos¶
Retrieves photos' details from a specified album.
| Group | Select the group that contains the album you want to list photos from. |
| Album | Select the album you want to retrieve photos from. |
| Limit | Enter the maximum number of photos Ibexa Connect will return during one execution cycle. The number must be lower than or equal to 500. |
List Videos¶
Retrieves videos from a selected group.
